My brother is a huge football fan. He loves his team so much that he has had a few tattoos throughout the years. They have always been small though, so I was surprised when he told me that he was going to get a tattoo sleeve with his team’s color and logo. If it was anyone else, I would have asked if he was sure he wanted to do that. With my brother though, it just made sense because he lives and breathes football, whether it is at the professional level or at a street level pick up game.
I was a bit concerned about what he was going to do though because his team is the Bengals. I had no idea if he was going to get a huge orange Bengal put on his arm, or go with black and orange stripes, or what. He told me that he had a few ideas, and he actually was hoping that I would draw up a design for him after he told me what they were. I do love to draw, and I was flattered that he wanted me to be part of the process.
He did want the stripes, but he wanted them done as if they were claw marks from a Bengal tiger. He also wanted a small Bengal tiger at the top, and I was able to draw a really nice representation of what he wanted. When I was done, I was surprised at just how nice the design he wants is. He is not having any specific players on it, because they change so often. Instead, he was just focusing on the organization, which is such a smart idea. He found a local tattoo artist who was able to replicate my drawing, and his sleeve looks amazing. I would have never guessed it could look so good!
